Unveiling of Lord Buddha screen, cham dance at Bylakuppe

As part of the valedictory of Losar New Year of the Tibetans, more than 5,000 people gathered at the Tibetan Settlement in Bylakuppe recently where a huge screen with the image of Lord Buddha, named ‘Tsela Num Sum,’ was unveiled on the occasion. According to sources, the Buddha screen in Bylakuppe is said to be the largest screen in India. Picture right shows Monks of Golden Temple Monastery performing the monastic cham dance ahead of the Tibetan New Year celebrations.
