UoM hosts workshop on ‘NAAC  Accreditation Process’

Mysuru:  A workshop on ‘NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council)’ was organised this morning by Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Board (PMEB) and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of University of Mysore (UoM) at Rani Bahadur Auditorium in Manasagangothri here.

About 50 Chairmen of various Departments and a representative faculty participated in the workshop which included technical sessions and an interaction with the Resource Person.

Inaugurating the programme, UoM Vice-Chancellor Dr. G. Hemantha Kumar contended that the NAAC accreditation process was not a simple task and added that the 4th cycle of the process is on now. He observed that the quality of teachers at UoM is quite good and opined that knowledge and skill improvement is an eternal task to keep abreast of latest development.

Former Advisor, NAAC, Dr. Vishnukanth Chatpalli was the Resource Person and briefed the participants on the accreditation process from a technical perspective and later interacted with them.

UoM Registrar Dr. Lingaraja Gandhi was the chief guest. PMEB Director Dr. S.N. Dongre, IQAC Director Dr. Guru, UoM Finance Officer Mahadevappa and others were present.
