Mysore/Mysuru: The University of Mysore (UoM), Mysuru and Kuvempu University in Shivamogga have received permission from the University Grants Commission (UGC) to offer online courses.
“We are given permission to offer 13 specialised courses, including 10 in PG and three in UG,” said UoM VC Prof. G. Hemantha Kumar.
Kuvempu University has got permission to offer BBM, B.Com, BA, MBA, M.Com and PG courses in Sociology, Political Science, History, Economics, English and Kannada.
Kuvempu University VC B.P. Veerabhadrappa said that this will help students pursue courses of their choice online. “We can take courses to the doorstep of students,” he said, terming the development as a proud moment. Registrar S.S. Patil said it will help the University reach out to more students.
