UoM Ph.D awardees

Mysuru: The University of Mysore (UoM) has awarded Ph.D degree in Mass Communication and Journalism to M. Prabhudev for his thesis “Marketing in Kannada Film Industry: An Analytical Study” submitted under the guidance of Dr. M.S. Sapna.

P. Sowmya has been awarded Ph.D in Sociology for her thesis “Socio-economic conditions of people with HIV/AIDS and their livelihood options in Mysore District: A Sociological Study’ submitted under the guidance of Dr. S. Yashoda.

Rangaswamy has been awarded Ph.D in South Indian Studies by the UoM  for his thesis “Dakshina Karnatakadalli Cholara Rajakiya mathu Samskrutika Prabhava” under the guidance of Dr. Nirmal Raju.

B. Krishnappa has been awarded Ph.D in Ancient History and Archaeology by the UoM for his thesis “Hiriyuru Talukina Itihasa mathu Samskruti (Pragitihasa Kaladinda Cri. Sha.18th Shatamanadavarege).” He worked under the guidance of Dr. K. Prabhu.

B.S. Anil Kumar has been awarded Ph.D in Kannada by the UoM for his thesis “Haridasara Lokaneethi: Anusandanada Adunika Madarigalu” [Guide: Dr. Akkamahadevi].

C.H. Vasundhara Devi has been awarded Ph.D in Developmental Studies by the UoM for her thesis “Economic  empowerment of women through self-help groups: A Study in Mandya District” [Guide: Dr. M. Devaraj].

D.B. Natesh has been awarded Ph.D in Development Studies for his thesis “Convergence of government service delivery systems through e-Governance in rural Karnataka.” [Guide: Dr. H. M. Chandrashekar]. Natesh is currently serving as Assistant Commissioner at BBMP.
