Mysore/Mysuru: University of Mysore (UoM) is placed 44th in the evaluation conducted by Union Ministry of Education through National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF).
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan released the merit list of higher education institutions of the country yesterday. Among Public Universities in the State, Mysore University stands first, stated UoM Vice-Chancellor Prof. N. Lokanath.
For four consecutive years, UoM has secured NIRF India ranking below 50, considering various parameters — like teaching learning and resources, research and professional practice, graduation outcome, outreach and inclusivity and perception. It’s a matter of happiness that, even amid lack of adequate teaching staff and other limitations, the Varsity has succeeded in getting 44th ranking.
“I also congratulate the Syndicate and Academic Council Members, PMIB, teaching and non-teaching faculty and students for this achievement,” stated the VC.
