Mysuru: With an objective of promoting sports among young students and teenagers, the Department of Physical Education (DPE), University of Mysore (UoM), will be conducting a month-long summer coaching camp in various sporting events from Mar. 30 to Apr. 30.
Children in the age group of 8 to 15 years only can apply for Gymnastics coaching. In case of Shuttle Badminton, the age group is 12 to 16 years and for all other sporting events, the age group category is 10 to 18 years.
Eligible children can obtain the prescribed application forms from the University’s PE Department Office located in Sports Pavilion, close to Crawford Hall.
Last date for submission of filled in forms is Mar.27. All the applicants are required to report to the concerned Coach at the Sports Pavilion at 7 am on Mar.30. Here is the list of the sporting events and the Coaches:
Athletics: M. Puneeth, B. Srikanth, Somashekar, T.S. Ravi and G.R. Prabhakar.
Shuttle Badminton: Lokesh, R. Kiran Kumar, D. Tulasidas and Nikhita.
