UoM to hold Karnataka State Eligibility Test-2021 on April 11 at eleven Nodal Centres

Mysore/Mysuru: The University of Mysore (UoM), which is the Nodal Agency for Government of Karnataka, will be holding the  Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) on April 11 (Sunday) for determining the eligibility for Assistant Professorship in various Universities, Colleges, Institutions of Higher Education (Government / Aided / Private) in the State. 

A Notification in respect of KSET-2021 was announced on Feb.6 in KSET website http://kset.uni-mysore.ac.in giving all details such as eligibility criteria, scheme of examination, syllabus, previous question papers with key answers, instructions to candidates, how to apply and other registration details for online submission of application. 

The Test will be conducted in 41 subjects as per the UGC guidelines and list of subjects is given in the website. The Test will be held at eleven Nodal Centres — Bengaluru, Belagavi, Ballari, Vijayapura, Davanagere, Dharwad, Kalaburagi, Mangaluru, Mysuru, Shivamogga and Tumakuru. 

The examination fee for General category is Rs.1,150, Category IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB – Rs.950, Category-I, SC, ST, PWD (VH/PH) – Rs. 650. 

Submission of online applications commenced today (Feb. 8). Last date for submission of online application without late fee is March 7. Last date for submission of online application with late fee of Rs. 250 is March 13. 

The registered candidates can make online or offline payment via State Bank MOPS (Multi Option Payment System) after downloading the challan; payment can be made at any SBI branches. 

After two days of payment, candidates can download the application form, attendance slip and admission card. The candidates should retain their admission card and submit only the hard copy of the application form and the attendance slip in A4 envelope, superscribed “KSET Application for Assistant Professor — 2021” to the respective Nodal Centres opted by the candidate before March 15. However, the candidates are advised to retain the hard copy of the admission card and e-challan for future reference, according to a press release from UoM  KSET Centre Co-ordinator.
