UoM to move Guv for action against Syndicate Member

Mysore/Mysuru: Following a series of allegations made by Dr. T.R. Chandrashekar, Syndicate Member of the University of Mysore, against the University administration, the Syndicate, at its third general meeting held recently, resolved to submit a report to the Governor and seek action against him within the ambit of law.

In a press release, the University Registrar stated that members of the Syndicate strongly condemned the allegations made by Chandrashekar regarding the administration, tender process and financial matters of the University.

The release said the allegations were baseless and that Chandrashekar had approached the media and social media platforms without seeking clarification from the University authorities on                                 important issues.

According to the Registrar, such allegations tarnish the image of the University and involve misuse of the institution’s name and official logo. The statement further noted that the allegations were creating confusion among the public and students.

The Registrar also clarified that Dr. Chandrashekar is not an executive authority of the University and that the views expressed by him cannot be treated as the official stand of the University.
