Years back the Revenue Department introduced Urban Property Ownership Record (UPOR) in Mysuru to provide a Property Register (PR) card for every property owner.
Now when we collect the payment challan of taxes from MCC, we find a new number allotted called PID (Property Identification Number). But both these numbers are different.
Soon, MUDA will have a third number for property owners!
When will our authorities learn not to duplicate? Each activity costs crores to the exchequer; in turn it is tax-payers money, down the drain!!
