Used text books to be distributed for needy students tomorrow

Mysuru: Bharatiya Jain Sanghatan, Mysuru Chapter, that is in the forefront of addressing educational concerns has been conducting empowerment programmes for girls in several colleges of Mysuru, in collaboration with Department of Collegiate Education.

It has initiated a programme called “Vidyadaan by YOU” and has collected around 400 used text books from students who have passed 10th Standard & above and the books will be distributed to needy students.

Books are available for 10th (CBSE/ State), PUC, degree, engineering courses in science and commerce streams. Books will be distributed (to be returned after the completion of the academic year) against submission of ID proof, marks card of previous examination and on payment of a nominal and fully refundable caution deposit.

The books will be distributed on first-come-first-serve basis on June 11 at Sri Jain Gyan Mandir, Near Sangam Theatre, Mahaveernagar, Mysuru from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm. For details, call: 9343499333 or 9342100100.
