Mysore/Mysuru: Vivekananda Institute for Leadership Development (V-LEAD), an initiative of Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement (SVYM), Mysuru, celebrated International Day of Yoga at its premises in Hebbal here recently.
This year, the programme was held in collaboration with the specially-abled people. A special programme was inaugurated for the community-based Comprehensive Care Support and Therapy for Persons with Disabilities (CCST-PWD) on the occasion.
The main objective of the programme was to make yoga inclusive to the people with special abilities and the general public.
Satyajit Sahu, Regional Coordinator, BPCL, Mysuru and Krishna R. Hombala, Professor, University of Mysore, Yoga Teacher Mahesh and Dr. M.R. Seetharam, Joint and Orthopaedic specialist from Vivekananda Memorial Hospital, Saragur, were the guests of honour.
SVYM is promoting health and well-being for all by introducing yoga to the specially-abled as part of its vision for Yoga Day.
