Mysuru: Vivekananda Institute for Leadership Development (V-LEAD), Mysuru, will be organising Management Development Programme (MDP) on “Integrated Water Resource Management” (IWRM) for the Engineers of the Government of Karnataka at V-LEAD Campus from June 19 to July 1.
The main objective of the course is to increase the knowledge of water resources management and prepare the engineers to meet the challenges that are faced in India with special emphasis on Karnataka.
The MDP also aims to improve the capacity to comprehend and analyse the problems connected with IWRM and discuss potential solutions.
The course is specifically designed for the Engineers of Irrigation/ Water Resources Department and the Staff of Command Area Development Authority, Department of Agriculture, Government of Karnataka.
The course is tailor-made to the needs of Advanced Centre for Integrated Water Resource Management (ACIWRM), Bengaluru and will have the funding, guidance and certification of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) with UNESCO as a partner.
The inauguration of the second batch of the IWRM Course will be held on June 19 at 10.45 am at V-LEAD cfampus in Hebbal. Water Resource Department Secretary B.G. Gurupadaswamy, ACIWRM Registrar Madhava, Director (Technical) Dr. P. Somasekhar Rao, Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement Founder – President Dr. R. Balasubramaniam will be present.
