New Delhi: In view of the COVID-19 crisis, the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has extended the validity of the Driving License (DL) of vehicle drivers and the required transport records of all vehicles till Dec. 31, 2020.

Accordingly, the DL of drivers and Fitness Certificate, Permit, License and Registration of Transport Vehicles will get validated till Dec. 31, 2020.

Earlier, the Government had set Mar.30 and June 9 as the date of validity. But now the validity has again been extended and will be in force till Dec. 31, 2020. The validity extension is applicable to all DLs and vehicle records whose validity had expired since Feb. 1, 2020 or would expire by Dec. 31, 2020.
