Mysore/Mysuru: Mysore University Library is organising a one-day workshop on “Research methods and Research Reporting- Tools and techniques” (Applications of Statistical methods, Survey of Literature, Data Mining, Reference Management and Avoiding Plagiarism and Research Performance Indicators) on Feb. 27 at Manasa Media Conference Hall, University Library, in Manasagangothri.
The first session (10 am to 11.30 am) on ‘Research Methods- Tools and techniques’ will have Prof. A. Balasubramanian, Retd. Professor, DoS in Geology, University of Mysore (UoM) as the resource person; Second session (11.45 am to 1.15 pm) will deliberate on ‘Statistical Tools- Formulation and testing of Hypotheses,’ with Dr. V. Manjunatha, Department of Business Management, Mahajana College as the resource person; Third session (2 pm to 3.30 pm) with Dr. C.P. Ramasesh, former Librarian, UoM Library, who will talk on ‘Academic integrity and prevention of Plagiarism; Fourth Session (3.30 pm to 4.15 pm) will deliberate on the topic ‘Information sources for Research’ with Dr. P. Sarasvathy, University Librarian as the resource person.
The valedictory and certificate distribution for the participants will be held from 4.30 pm to 5 pm on the same day, according to a press release.
