Vedike condoles Neha’s death

Mysore/Mysuru: Members of Pragnavantha Nagarika Vedike condoled the brutal murder of Neha by chanting ‘Shanthi Mantra’ during a programme held at the vedike office located on Vishuvardhan Road in Lakshmipuram, here yesterday.

Speaking on the occasion, Zilla Brahmana Sangha President D.T. Prakash, termed the incident as a shameful act and demanded death penalty for Fayaz, the accused.

“Incidents of women being subjected to such incidents has been increasing in the country. It is important Government comes out with more stringent Laws to prevent such incidents,” he added. BJP leader Rakesh Bhat, who also spoke, urged the parents to be vigilant as incidents of ‘Love Jihad’ where Hindu girls were being targeted was prevailing in the country. Jeevadhara Blood Bank Director Girish, R. Paramesh, Ajay Shastry, Apoorva Suresh, Sandesh, Byrathi Lingaraju, Srinivas, Durga Prasad were present.
