Mysuru: Accusing MP Pratap Simha of disturbing societal harmony through his provocative statements, the Pragnavanta Nagarika Vedike has lodged a complaint with the City Police Commissioner and the district SP, seeking action against the MP.
The members of the Vedike led by former State Women’s Commission Chairperson Manjula Manasa, lodged separate complaints with City Police Commissioner Dr. A. Subrahmanyeswara Rao and SP Ravi D. Channannavar.
The complaint said that MP Pratap Simha has been making threatening statements in the visual media an social networking sites in the name of God and religion.
Alleging that Pratap Simha’s statements were violative of law, they said that the MP does not realise that no one is interested in entering into conflicts in the name of caste and religions and that no political party is interested in such issues.
Accusing the MP of making provocative statements aimed at disturbing the peace and harmony in the Society, the members alleged that the MP was instigating unrest in Hunsur town over Hanuma Jayanti celebrations. They sought action against the MP for all his irresponsible and provocative remarks.
