Veena Quartet tomorrow at Mysore Vasudevacharya’s house

Mysore/Mysuru: Swara School of Music, based in Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, US, will be presenting a Veena Quartet Concert on Sunday (Dec. 28) at Mysore Vasudevacharya’s house near Agrahara.

The participating artistes are Sahana Ram, Lakshya Meiyappan, Siri Bharadwaj and Shravya Bharati. The quartet is being supported by senior percussionists Vid. G.S. Ramanujam and Vid. V.S. Ramesh, respectively on mridanga and morching.

The concert, scheduled to start at 10.30 am, is open to all music lovers.

Disciples of Vidu. Vasundhara Kikkeri in her highly respected Swara School of Music, the four young have learnt Veena from their childhood. All the four have exceptional academic skills as well. They have presented many concerts and have participated in group shows, including the Guinness World Record event showcasing Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji. They are also taking part in this year’s Margazhi Season in Chennai, rendering three full concerts.
