Chamarajanagar: Akhila Bharata Veershaiva Lingayat Mahasabha National Vice-President Dr. Geetha Mahadevaprasd has said that the 24th Conference of Akhila Bharata Veerashaiva-Lingayat Mahasabha will be held on Dec.23 and 24 at Davangere and appealed to the community members of the district to turn up in large numbers.
“Akhila Bharata Veerashaiva-Lingayat Mahasabha was founded in 1904 by Hanagal Kumara Swamiji and is working towards organising and welfare of the community. There are more than 1.75 lakh members in the Mahasabha and in order to organise the community religiously, socially and educationally, the conference is being organised at Davangere,” she said addressing a press meet.
“Seers of various Mutts, well-known writers, artistes, leaders, women representatives and many other distinguished members of the community will participate in the conference. More than 10 lakh people are expected to participate in the meet. Community members from various places will travel in buses and other vehicles while separate buses have been arranged for women,” she said.
Akhila Bharata Veerashaiva Lingayat Mahasabha Chamarajanagar District President Moodlupura Nandish, General Secretary D. Nagendra, Taluk President Hosur Natesh, District Directors Kadahalli Madhu and Pramod were present.
