Bengaluru: Noted Oncologist and former Director of Bengaluru’s Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Dr. Vijayalakshmi Deshamane has been appointed as President of Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s (VHP) Karnataka Unit.
Dr. Deshamane is the first Woman President of VHP State unit. The decision to appoint her was taken at a national meeting of the VHP held in Gujarat recently. She will have a term of 3 years, it is learnt.
