Mysore/Mysuru: Sri Thyagaraja Sangeetha Sabha Charitable Trust, Mysuru, will be presenting vocal concert by Vid. Pattabhirama Pandit at 6 pm tomorrow (Nov. 26) at Veene Seshanna Bhavana, Ganabharathi, Kuvempunagar.

Vidwan Pattabhirama Pandit hails from a family of musicians. He got formal training initially from Vallabham Kalyana Sundaram. Later he was under the tutelage of eminent gurus like Sangeetha Kalanidhi Dr. S. Ramanathan, Sangeetha Kalanidhi, Padma Bhushan K.V. Narayanaswamy and presently he is guided by Padma Narayanaswamy.

Vid. Pattabhirama Pandit has been bestowed with many recognitions, such as Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar, Karnataka Kalashree, Award from Vasundhara Performing Arts Centre, Nadajyothi Puraskar, Yuva Purandara Award and Nada Chintamani to mention a few.

An ‘A’ graded artiste of AIR, presently he is one among the most promising and sought-after young vocalists.

Vidu. Sindhu Suchethan, an outstanding violinist, will accompany him on violin and senior percussion artiste Vid. G.S. Ramanujan will provide mridanga support. Vid. Sharath Koushik will accompany on ghata.
