Vid. Prasanna Venkataraman to perform at Ganabharathi

T.P. Vaidyanathan & Indira Vaidyanathan Memorial Programme

Mysuru: Ganabharathi has organised a Karnatak vocal concert by Vid. Prasanna Venkataraman in memory of Vid. T.P. Vaidyanathan and Vid. Indira Vaidyanathan at Veene Seshanna Bhavan, Ganabharathi premises in Kuvempunagar here on Oct.12 at 6 pm. He will be accompanied by Vid. Mathur Srinidhi on violin, Vid. A. Radhesh on mridanga and Bhargava Halambi on kanjira.

PROFILES

Vid. Prasanna Venkataraman learnt music from Vid. T.R. Balamani and Vid. T.K. Govinda Rao and is presently under the tutelage of Vid. Sanjay Subrahmanyam. He has been awarded Best Vocalist by Madras Music Academy, Shanmukha Sangeetha Shiromani and many more awards. Being an A-Graded artiste of All India Radio (AIR), he has performed in many prestigious  Sabhas both in India and abroad. He has done his M.Tech from Madras IIT.

Vid. Mathur Srinidhi is a disciple of Vid. R.R. Keshavamurthy and is presently learning under  Vid. R.N. Thyagarajan. He has accompanied many senior artistes.

Vid. A. Radhesh is a disciple Vid. P.G. Lakshminarayana and is currently learning under Vid.  Mannargudi A. Easwaran.

Vid. Bhargava Halambi is a disciple of Vid. Ullur Nagendra Udupa, Vid. K.U. Jayachandra Rao and is presently learning under Vid. Vyasa Vittala.
