Mysuru: Ganabharathi has organised a veena concert in memory of Vid. Swaramurthy V.N. Rao at its premises on Adichunchanagiri Road in Kuvempunagar on Aug. 11 at 6 pm.

Vidu. Rakshitha Ramesh will render a veena concert. She will be accompanied by Vid. Saishivu Laxmi Keshav on mridanga and Vid. Raghunandan Vyasa Rao on ghata.

Artiste’s profile: Vidu. Rakshitha Ramesh had her initial training from her mother Chithra Ramesh. Now she is undergoing training under Vidu. J. Yogavandana since eight years. Rakshitha has won several prizes and awards at a very young age.

She has won first prize in All India Radio (AIR) competitions and also in M.J. Srinivasa Iyengar Memorial Competition to name a few.

She has performed in various Sabhas in Bengaluru, Mysuru, Karkala, Thiruchchi, Chennai, Delhi and Hyderabad regions. Currently Rakshitha is studying in first year Pre-University.
