Vietnam F2 Futures Men’s Tennis Tournament: City’s Vasisht, Sasi Kumar Mukund enter semis

Mysuru-lad Vasisht Cheruku representing India and teaming up with fellow Indian Sasi Kumar Mukund entered the semi-finals in the men’s doubles event in the $15,000 Vietnam F2 Futures Men’s Tennis Tournament played at the The Dau Mot City, Vietnam on yesterday.

Vasisht and Sasi Kumar Mukund teamed up well to beat Alberto Lim (PHI) and Rio Naguchi (JPN) 6-3, 0-6, 10-8. In the pre-quarterfinals, the unseeded duo scored an upset win over second seed pair of Vasko Mladenov (BEL) & Vadym Ursu (UKR) 6-3, 6-4.

Another Mysorean S.D. Prajwal Dev lost in the final qualifying round in the men’s singles event. In the final qualifying round, Michael Look (AUS) scored a good 3-6, 6-2, 6-1 win over Prajwal and entered the main draw. In the first round, Prajwal Dev beat Jamie Asanee Praditn Gam (GBR) 6-4, 6-4.
