Vijayanagar Football Club wins C Division League

Mysore/Mysuru: Vijayanagar Football Club has emerged as the Karnataka State Football Association C Division League Winners 2024-25. The team, which played at the Bangalore Football Stadium recently, showcased exceptional form throughout the season, scoring 35 goals and conceding only 3 in 10 games.

Vijayanagar Football Club remained undefeated throughout the season, with zero losses in their kitty. The Club’s Academy players played a crucial role in the team’s success, with 10 young talents promoted to the first team.

Vijayanagar Football Club’s journey to the top was marked by impressive wins in the knock-out stages. In the quarter-finals, they beat Mahesh Raj United FC 3-1, followed by a 2-0 win over Universal Blues FC in the semi-finals. The team sealed their promotion to B Division with a convincing 3-0 win over Francis Xavier Football Club in the finals.

As the first and only team from Mysuru to win a Division in Bengaluru, Vijayanagar Football Club has made history and brought pride to the city. The team’s remarkable performance is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the players, coaches and support staff.

With this win, Vijayanagar Football Club has earned promotion to the B Division.
