Violation of poll code: Cases filed against BJP and Congress leaders

Even as BJP and Congress leaders continue to spar over Police lathi-charge at Gundlupet on Mar. 20, the Police have booked cases against BJP and  Congress leaders for violation of poll code.

The Police have booked cases against BJP leader Rajashekara Murthy for the presence of more than 3,000 workers during the procession taken out for the filing of nomination papers for BJP candidate and also against Congress leader Kumaraswamy for the presence of more than 2,000 workers in the  procession when only 1,500 workers were allowed, according to Gundlupet Electoral Officer Nalin Atul.
