Ashada Friday puja: Rs. 2,000 special entry ticket at Ch. Hill
Bengaluru: The devotees with Rs. 2,000 special entry ticket for darshan during the Ashada Friday puja at the Goddess Chamundeshwari Temple atop Chamundi Hill in Mysuru, are forced to wait for four to five hours, to allow hassle-free darshan for VIPs, alleged Leader of Opposition in Legislative Assembly R. Ashoka.
Who should be held accountable for the inconvenience faced by elderly persons, women and families with children, while waiting outside the temple? It is the duty of the Government to respect the feelings of lakhs of devotees visiting the temple during Ashada. It is condemning that devotees are harassed for the sake of VIP culture, Ashoka said.
