Mysore/Mysuru: As part of Gita Jayanti, Divyadhwani Sampada will be conducting a Bhagavad Gita Recitation Contest for school and college students of Mysuru district through virtual mode.
The contest will be held under five categories — Nursery (shlokas 11-15 from Chapter 2), Lower Primary (shlokas 5-10 from Chapter 4), Higher Primary (shlokas 22-28 from Chapter 9), High School (shlokas 22-27 from Chapter 14 with meaning for any one shloka) and College (shlokas 2-10 from Chapter 17 with detailed explanation for any one shloka).
Entry for the contest is free. Last date to send entries is Dec. 12. Interested may send the video clip of Gita Recitation (according to their age category) via e-mail to [email protected]
Video clips must be sent in the MP4/ MOV/ MKV format through e-mail (attachment – less than 25 MB size) or Google Drive link (attachment – less than 300 MB).
File name should be in the following format: For example – STUDENT NAME_CLASS_SchoolName/Sangha/Sabha/Temple.
Along with the video clip, details of Participant Name, Class and School, Parents’ / Guardian’s Phone Number and Home Address should be mentioned.
Candidates must clearly record the recitation video. HD, Ultra-HD or 4K mode should not be used to videograph. Two candidates can be sent to each category. There will be three prizes and consolation prizes in each category.
The Gita Jayanti event and results will be declared online in the presence of scholars at 10 am on Dec. 19 (Sunday). The event will be telecast live on Facebook and YouTube channel of Divyadhwani Sampada.
Also, Vid. Dr. H.V. Nagaraja Rao, Sanskrit Scholar and retd. senior researcher of Oriental Research Institute (ORI), Mysuru and N. Sandhya, who has completed 18 Chapters in Bhagavad Gita exams (2020-21), will be felicitated on the occasion.
