Mysuru: N. Vishnuvardhana, who was recently elevated to the Indian Police Service (IPS), has been appointed as Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) (Law&Order) of the city.
He replaces Dr. H.T. Shekar, who has been transferred and posted as ACB SP (Mysuru Division). In another transfer, Kala Krishnaswamy, who was serving as ACB SP (Mysuru Division) has been posted as ACB SP at Bengaluru. Vishnuvardhana is the second IPS Rank Officer to serve as DCP of Mysuru. Earlier, IPS Officer Vinayaka V. Patil had served as DCP for a Couple of months.
Vishnuvardhana had earlier served as Assistant Commissioner of Police (K.R. Sub-Division) and as Traffic ACP at Mysuru.
