Vocal concert at Lakshminarasimha temple in Srirampura on Sept. 23

Mysuru: On the occasion of Navaratri, Lakshminarashimha temple, Srirampura, has organised a vocal concert by Vid. B.N.S. Murali on Sept. 23 at the temple premises at 6.30 pm.

He will be accompanied by Vidu. Veena Suresh on violin and Vid. P. Nataraj on mridanga.

Profile: Born at Basavapattana village in Hassan district to B. S. Nagappa and Bhagyalakshmi,  Vid. B.N.S. Murali is a desciple of Vid. R. K. Padmanabha.  A B-grade artiste of AIR, he has secured 1st rank in Vidwat examination in1996.  He has established Sapthaswara Sangeetha Vidyalaya, through which he has been nurturing many students in the field of Karnatak music.  

The Vidyalaya also organises concerts and workshops for the benefit of students. He has been awarded with many titles and awards like “Bhavarasakaladhara” by Basavapattana Samithi, Best Vocalist Award by Gayana Samaja in 1994, Aryabhata Award, Swaralipi Award, Hassan District Rajyotsava Award and Azhasinga Award among others.
