Mysore/Mysuru: Sri Thyagaraja Sangeetha Sabha Charitable Trust, Mysuru, has organised a vocal concert by Vidu. Vrinda Acharya at Sangeetha Kalanidhi Mysore K. Vasudevacharya Bhavan, Sri Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha, on JLB Road in city on Dec. 15 at 6 pm.
Vrinda Acharya started learning classical music at an early age from Vidu. Shaila Subrmanyam. Subsequently she came under the tutelage of eminent guru, Vidu. Neela Ramgopal. In addition, presently she is also guided by her husband, Arjun Kumar, a leading mridanga artiste. A successful and sought-after talented young vocalist, Vrinda Acharya’s passion for academics, ancient Indian culture and Sanskrit could be seen in her research works, several published articles and lec-dems.
Vrinda Acharya will be accompanied by Vid. N.N. Ganesh Kumar on violin, Vid. Arjun Kumar on mridanga and Vid. S. Manunath on ghata.
