Mysore/Mysuru: Ganabharathi, Mysuru, has organised a Vocal Music Concert on Sept. 23 on the occasion of 125th birth anniversary of H. Yoganarasimham, where his compositions will be rendered.
The programme is sponsored by G.V. Krishnaprasad in memory of Vidu. G.V. Ranganayakamma and Vidu. G.V. Neela at Veene Seshanna Bhavan in Kuvempunagar at 6 pm.
Vocal music will be rendered by Vid. Sampagodu Vighnaraja accompanied by Vidu. H.M. Smitha on violin, Vid. Anooru Anantakrishna Sharma on mridanga and Vid. Sharath Kowshik on ghata.
Vid. S. Vighnaraja started his music journey from the age of five under his father Vid. Suryanarayana Bhat and continued advanced music training with Guru Vid. Subramanya Bhat. He has mastered musical instruments like flute and slide guitar also.
A recipient of many prestigious awards, he has dedicated his life to music through his Surya Global Music Academy.
