Mysuru: Sri Thyagaraja Sangeetha Sabha Charitable Trust has organised a vocal concert by Vidu. K.J. Srilakshmi at 6 pm on Sept. 28 at Sri Lakshminarasimhaswamy Temple, SBM Colony, Srirampura, Mysuru.

She will be supported on violin by Vidu. Dr. Veena Suresh, on mridanga by Vid. Vikram Bharadwaj and on morching by Vid. Kiran Barighat.

Artiste’s Profile

Born into Kakarla family of musicians and music connoisseurs, Vidu. Srilakshmi underwent musical training under Karnataka Kalashree Balasubrahmanya Sharma, Ganakalanidhi Salem P. Sundereshan and Ganakalashree Kalavathi Avadhooth. She has completed Vidwat and Master’s in Music with distinction.

Vidu. Srilakshmi is a graded artiste of AIR and has given many thematic and regular performances in Akashavani along with her guru Vidu. Kalavathy Avadhooth, as well as solo.

She has performed in several sabhas of Karnataka, including Ananya Cultural Academy, Karnataka Ganakala Parishat etc., besides giving lecture demonstrations and thematic presentations at prestigious venues.
