Mysuru: The book ‘Voices from the Grassroots,’ authored by Dr. R. Balasubramaniam, Founder of Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement (SVYM) and Grassroots Research and Advocacy Movement (GRAM), will be launched at a programme to be held on Aug.14 at 6 pm at the Wind Chimes, near Hotel Ginger, Vasanth Mahal Road, Nazarbad, in city. Prof. Niranjana Vanalli, Professor at Department of Journalism and Mass Communication,  University of Mysore and former Registrar of Dr. Gangubai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University, Mysuru, will talk about the book. N.R. Group Chairman R. Guru will preside.

Dr. Balasubramaniam will share his experience on why he wrote ‘Voices from the Grassroots.’ Dr. Balasubramaniam has been working among marginalised for the past 34 years, especially with rural and tribal communities. Based on his experience and to make the voices of the commonest be heard, he has authored the book ‘Voices from the Grassroots.’ His earlier book ‘i, the Citizen’ has been  re-printed in India.
