Voter Guide on EVMs, VVPATs distributed

Concerned over the drop in overall voter turnout in the first phase of Lok Sabha elections this year as compared to 2019, the Election Commission is making strategies to boost voter turnout.  As part of its efforts, officers, under Systematic Voter Education and Electoral Participation Program (SVEEP), are heading a campaign to distribute a ‘Voter Guide’ individually to all houses in all the 11 Assembly Constituencies. The Guide contains detailed information about Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT). In Mysuru, the initiative is being led by ZP CEO K.M. Gayathri, who is also the Chairman of the Mysuru SVEEP Committee. State SVEEP Nodal Officer P.S. Vastrad also joined the initiative.
