Voting awareness by drawing Rangoli

Mysore/Mysuru: Women took part in voting awareness by drawing Rangoli in front of Lakshminarayanaswamy temple in the village. Women of various Self- Help Groups and others drew colourful Rangolis and also voting awareness slogans, organised by Debur Gram Panchayat (GP), Nanjangud taluk, to create awareness about voting among the villagers.

Taluk Executive Officer Poornima said that every vote of people above 18 years of age is invaluable and called upon voters to exercise their Constitutional rights without fail. She also advised people to register any complaint with respect to election through c-VIGIL app. She later distributed prizes to women who had drawn good Rangoli.

After the stage programme, all women, villagers, GP staff and leaders of Debur village took out a jatha with Voting Campaign Vehicle to emphasise the importance of voting.

Taluk SVEEP Committee members, National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM) taluk program managers Divya, Sanjeevini, Community Supervisors Harish, GP Development Officer Somashekar were present.
