Mysore/Mysuru: Dr. H.M. Nanjundaswamy, Professor of Industrial and Production Engineering at PES College of Engineering, Mandya, took charge as Regional Director of VTU Regional Centre, Mysuru, on Jan. 14.
Born on May 10, 1972, in Harohalli, Mysuru district, to late Kali Manchaiah and late Madamma, Dr. Nanjundaswamy is a multifaceted academic leader with 29 years of rich experience in teaching, research and administration.
His services include roles as Principal, Head of Department, Chairman of the Board of Studies (BOS) and Board of Examiners (BOE), and BOE member for VTU Belagavi’s Industrial and Production Engineering Board.
He holds a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.Tech in Production Engineering from NIE, Mysore, and a Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee.
Dr. Nanjundaswamy has authored over 50 technical papers in reputed International and national journals and conference proceedings, chaired global International conferences, guided 5 Ph.D. scholars and 2 M.Sc. (Engg.) by research students, and currently supervises 4 Ph.D. candidates.
A Life Member of the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (FIE), he resides in Vijayanagar, Mysuru.
