The NIE, Mysuru and NIE-IT, Mysuru, have jointly organised the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) Inter-Collegiate Mysuru Zone Badminton, Table Tennis Men & Women Championships 2019-20 on Aug.24 and 25 at NIE Diamond Jubilee Indoor Sports Complex here.

Engineering College Badminton and TT teams of Mysuru, Kodagu, Chamarajanagar, Mandya and Ramanagaram districts are expected to participate.

Last edition Champions in men’s section Badminton, SJCE, Mysuru and Runners-Up VVCE, Mysuru, loser Semifinalists Mysuru’s NIE and MIT teams are seeded 1, 2, 3 and 4 respectively.

In women’s section, Mysuru’s NIE, VVCE, GSSSIETW and NIE-IT teams are seeded 1 to 4 respectively.

The teams getting seedings in TT Men are Mysuru’s NIE, VVCE, SJCE and NIE-IT. In women section, Mysuru’s NIE, SJCE, GSSSIETW and VVCE are eligible to be seeded 1 to 4 respectively.

Inauguration

The Championships will be inaugurated by Srinivasachar Gayathri, retd. Manager, Canara Bank and former Karnataka TT Player, on Aug.24 at 9.30 am in NIE Diamond Jubilee Indoor Sports Complex.

Dr. G. Ravi, Principal, NIE, will preside. Dr. Puttaswamy Gowda, Officiating Mysuru Zone Regional Director, Physical Education, VTU, will be present.
