Mysore/Mysuru: Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE), Mysuru, an autonomous institute under VTU, recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) on working together for the road infrastructure development by adopting a portion of National Highway.
As per the MoU, VVCE adopted a 62.5-km stretch of NH-212 from Mysuru to Kollegal as a voluntary initiative to carry out periodic investigation and give suitable suggestions for improving the efficiency of the existing Highway. This initiative provides opportunity for hands on experience and internship to students.
P. Manoj and S. Raghavendra, Assistant Professors, specialised in the field of transportation engineering from the Department of Civil Engineering, will work with NHAI for mutual benefits. During the MoU signing ceremony, B.T. Sridhara, General Manager (T) and Project Director, NHAI, Dr. B. Sadashive Gowda, Principal, VVCE, Dr. S.K. Prasad, Professor & Head, Dr. H.S. Dayananda, Dean (Academics & Exams), Dr. P.K. Umesha, Professor, Dr. B.S. Shilpa, Associate Professor and faculty members of Dept. of Civil Engineering, were present.
