‘Wadiyar Express needs to stop at Ramanagara’

New Delhi: Union Minister Kumaraswamy has also requested Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for stoppage of Wadiyar Express in Ramanagara, along with providing improvised Aadhaar-based services and basic amenities for Mandya district.

During the meeting, Ashwini Vaishnaw promised to start a new train between Bengaluru and Mumbai, along with a high-speed train corridor between Bengaluru and Pune passing through Hubballi-Dharwad.

The Ministers also discussed the installation of railway barricades and block corridors to prevent wildlife accidents on the existing railway lines.

Later, Kumaraswamy also met Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and discussed matters related to the strengthening of steel industries, besides congratulating her for presenting the Union Budget that focuses on promoting Viksit Bharat-2047 vision.

Kolar MP M. Mallesh Babu, MLC C.N. Manjegowda and former Minister Sa.Ra. Mahesh were present.
