Wake up call to Government!

The Mini Vidhana Soudha building at Nazarbad which houses various Government Departments.

Sir,

The all-round deterioration of a building called ‘Mini Vidhana Soudha’ built in Mysuru to reflect the glory of the magnificent building in Bengaluru characterises the attitude of the Government that is now failing to exhibit the same initial interest and pride in its timely maintenance (The pathetic condition of Mini Vidhana Soudha in SOM dated July 13).

If what has been described as pathetic condition is of any guide, it is possible even the rooms where employees work in various Departments must be full of files kept in disorderly condition gathering dust. It is well-known that a good and clean surrounding also contributes to efficiency in work.

Along with this, there were two other news items — one concerning  launching  25,000 sapling drive by Dr. Veerendra Heggade and another was launching of Swachh Bharat Mission Vehicles by the District Minister. Both are important initiatives and hope it will not share the same fate as in the case of Mini Vidhana Soudha. Let this be a wake up call to our Government.
