Mysuru: Marking World Women’s Heart Day, Cardiological Society of India (CSI), Mysore Chapter, had organised a walkathon in city recently.
About 200 lady doctors and students, dressed in red, took out the walkathon with a theme “Go red for women’s heart health.”
The walkathon, flagged off by ZP CEO K. Jyothi in front of Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple, passed through Sayyaji Rao Road, Devaraja Urs Road and Dewan’s Road to culminate at the Platinum Jubilee Hall in J.K. Grounds where a stage programme was held.
Renowned Paediatric Cardiologist Dr. I.B. Vijayalakshmi addressed the gathering.
Five senior lady doctors Seethalakshmi, Manikarnika, Lakshmidevi, Lalithamma and Saraswathi were felicitated on the occasion.
Marathon Runner Dr. Usha Hegde of JSS Dental College, CSI Mysore Chapter President Dr. Harsha Basappa, Secretary Dr. K.S. Ajith, Convenor Dr. J. Vinu and others were present.
