‘War against Cancer’ campaign: ‘Arogya Mysuru’ free health check-up camp held

Mysuru: As part of the campaign ‘War against Cancer’ launched by MLA S.A. Ramdas, the 7th free ‘Arogya Mysuru’ health check-up camp was organised at CITB Choultry in Siddarthanagar here on Sunday. About 2,400 people of Ward 52 and 53 were screened for various ailments.

Doctors and paramedics of K.R. Hospital, Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology, Apollo BGS Hospital, Narayana Hrudayalaya, DRM Labs, Kamakshi Hospital, Kidwai Institute of Oncology, Bengaluru, JSS Dental Hospital, Farooqia Dental Hospital and Government Ayurveda and Natural Medicine Hospital participated in the camp along with others.

A well-equipped bus of Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Bengaluru, with ultra-modern cancer screening equipment was also deployed. The people were screened for heart ailments, diabetes, hypertension, orthopaedic, skin, dental and gynaecological problems. People needing vision corrections were provided spectacles.

Sanction letters of Government Social Security Schemes like pension for widows, disabled, old age people and aid from CM’s Relief Fund for treatment of major diseases were distributed to                           the beneficiaries.

Jayadeva Hospital, Mysuru Medical Superintendent Dr. K.S. Sadanand, K.R. Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr. Srinivas, Cheluvamba Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr. Dilip, Farooqia Dental College Chief Dr. Taj Mohammed Khan and Kurubarahalli Primary Health Centre Medical Officer Dr. Naveen were felicitated on the occasion.

MLA S.A. Ramdas, Corporators Chayadevi, Roopa Yogish, B.V. Manjunath, AYUSH Doctors Lakshminarayan Seethalakshmi, Dr. Ashwath of Annapurana Eye Hospital, former Deputy Mayor Vanitha Prasanna and others were present.
