We are not pseudo-secularists, Minister Anant Kumar Hegde

 Sri Kalyana Lakshmi Venkataramana Swamy Temple had organised ‘Lakshadeepotsava’ at the Temple premises on Dr. Rajkumar Road in Kalyanagiri yesterday. Mysuru:  Maintaining that we are all Hindus and not pseudo secularists, Union Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Anant Kumar Hegde has emphasized on the need for unity among Hindus for a  peaceful living.

He was speaking at the ‘Lakshadeepotsava’ held at Sri Kalyana Lakshmi Venkataramana Swamy Temple premises Dr. Rajkumar Road in Kalyanagiri here yesterday.

Pointing out that one can identify himself as either a Hindu, Christian or Muslim, he said that there was no meaning in one claiming himself/ herself to be secular.

Observing that the temple has been built here due to ‘Daivasankalpa’, he said that many people had to face impediments while building the temple. Stating that there was a temple for every caste, the Union Minister opined that there should be a religious growth in every caste.

Union Minister Ananth Kumar Hegde was felicitated on the  occasion.

The Temple Founder and BJP leader H.G. Giridhar, RSS leaders M. Venkatram and Dr. Vaman Rao Bapat, Retired DGP Shankar Bidari, City BJP President Dr. B.H. Manjuath, District President M. Shivanna,          leaders B.P. Manjunath, H.V. Rajeev, M.V. Ravishankar and Deputy Mayor Rathna Lakshman were present.
