‘Wee Care’ seeks destitute-free city

Mysuru: About 50 members of ‘Wee Care’ organisation took out a rally from Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple here this morning passing through Gandhi Square Devaraj Urs Road, JLB Road and Hunsur Road before Culminating at the Deputy Commissioner’s (DC) office.

The members urged MCC authorities to make the city destitute-free as it has already won the ‘Cleanest city’ tag twice. They contended that the existing two Rehabilitation Centres for destitutes run by MCC were insufficient. They sought better infrastructure at the Centres.

‘Wee Care’ President Manu B. Menon and leaders of various other supporting organisations were present. A memorandum was submitted to the DC.
