Week-long Bhagini Ramotsava in city from tomorrow

Mysuru: Bhagini Seva Samaja was established in 1923. It is now under the care of His Holiness Sri Vishweshwa Teertha Swamiji of Pejawar Mutt.

The Samaja is celebrating its annual music festival ‘Bhagini Ramotsava’ on account of  Ramanavami. This music festival is being organised after the other major music Ramotsavas in Mysuru are concluded in order to enable music connoisseurs to attend and enjoy all their favourite music programmes leisurely.

Bhagini Ramotsava begins on Apr.27 and concludes on May 3. Everyday the programme starts at 6 pm at Bhagini Seva Samaja School premises near Ballal Circle, Krishnamurthypuram:

Apr.27: Vocal concert of Bangalore Brothers — Ashok and Hari. They will be accompanied on violin by K.J. Dilip, on mridanga by T. Ravishankar and on ghata by Sharat Kaushik.

Apr.28: Violin and Sitar Jugalbandi by Dr. Mysore Manjunath and Ustad Rafique                                             Khan with Patri Satish Kumar on mridanga and Pt. Rajendra Nakod on tabla.

Apr.29: Chandana Bala Kalyan will present a vocal recital accompanied by K.J. Dilip on violin, A. Radhesh on mridanga and Jayaram on ghata.

Apr.30: K. Satyanarayana will present a keyboard concert with Vitthalarangan on violin, Akshay Anand on mridanga and S. Manjunath on ghata.

May 1: G. Ravikiran from Chennai will give a vocal recital with Gokul on violin, B.C. Manjunath on mridanga and M.R. Manjunath on ghata.

May 2: Vivek Moozikullan will render a vocal recital accompanied by Golul on violin, H.L. Shivakumar Swamy on mridanga and  V.S. Ramesh on morching.

May 3: Sruthi Sagar will present a flute recital with Mathur Srinidhi on violin, B.C. Manjunath on mridanga and Bhargav Halambi on khanjira.
