When will Mini Vidhana Soudha elevator start working?

Sir,

I had written about this problem earlier also. Due to lethargic attitude of the authorities concerned, still the elevator in the Mini Vidhana Soudha (Taluk Office) is not in working condition since more than a year.

Mini Vidhana Soudha is a big and beautiful Government building which mainly houses Taluk Office and Sub-Registrar’s office. The Taluk Office has Cellar, Ground, First and Second Floor.

As I mentioned there is an elevator in addition to steps to go to different floors. To go to ground floor, there are about 20 steps. After going there, people who wish to go to first floor have to climb another 30 steps.

Then the Survey Department is on the second floor. To reach it, one has to climb another 30 steps. So from ground level to reach second floor, people have to climb about 80 steps! Patrons who are aged find it very difficult to climb these steps.

I really don’t understand why an elevator is there in first place and why is it not maintained to work continuously. There are highly responsible Officers working in Mini Vidhana Soudha and still this issue is not resolved.

We can only hope that, at least now the authorities concerned look into this issue and arrange to repair the elevator at the earliest.
