Wife’s masterplan to finish off her husband

Nanjangud, Oct. 31 – Nanjangud Police have solved a case of chain-snatching and stabbing incident by exposing the murder plot by a woman to kill her husband with the help of her brother and his accomplices. The Cops have arrested four accused in this case.

The accused had staged a chain-snatching drama during which they had stabbed the man in a bid to kill him and had fled from the spot.

Those arrested are 34-year-old Sangeetha (wife of Rajendra) who is working as a Computer Operator at Devanur Gram Panchayat, her brother 18-year-old Sanjay of Alambur village in the taluk, 20-year-old Vignesh of Ramaswamy Layout in Nanjangud town and a minor boy. All the accused have been remanded to judicial custody.

Details: On Oct. 26 evening, Rajendra, who is residing at Hadinaru village, had taken his wife Sangeetha to her friend’s house on his scooter and was returning with her to the village.

When he was proceeding on Handuvinahalli Layout Road, he saw a white car parked across the road and stopped the scooter. Soon, an unidentified car occupant walked towards the scooter and pushed it, resulting in Rajendra and Sangeetha falling on the road. The unidentified man picked up a fight with Rajendra during which another car occupant came near Sangeetha and tried to snatch the gold chain she was wearing. When Rajendra tried to prevent it, the unidentified person stabbed Rajendra with a sharp weapon. As another vehicle was spotted on the road, the two unidentified persons and another person in the car sped away.

Nanjangud Town Police, who had registered a case, began their investigation and based on the CCTV footages and scientific evidence, the Cops came to know about the plot by Sangeetha to finish off her husband Rajendra with the help of her brother and his friends by staging a chain-snatching drama.

Superintendent of Police (SP) N. Vishnuvardhana, Additional SPs C. Mallik and Nagesh and Dy.SP Raghu guided Inspector Ravindra, Sub-Inspectors (SIs) Krishnakanth Koli and Manjunath, ASI Devarajaiah and staff Krishna, Shivakumar, Thimmaiah, Mahesh, Chethan, Naveen Kumar, Peerappa Haadimuni, Ravikumar, Saritha, Sahana and Krishna in solving the case.
