I will be the Chief Minister for the next 5 years too: Siddharamaiah

Mysuru: Asserting that he will continue as the Chief Minister for the next 5 years too after winning the 2018 Assembly Polls, Chief Minister Siddharamaiah has said that he was sure that the people would bless him in the next elections.

Speaking at the Dasara inauguration ceremony atop Chamundi Hill here yesterday, Siddharamaiah said that  he had seen Dasara in his childhood by sitting on the shoulder of his father.

Asking MLA G.T. Devegowda and MP Pratap Simha who were seated on dais, to express their support for his continuing as the CM for the next five years, Siddharamaiah said he was sure that G.T. Devegowda would support him and asked MP Pratap Simha too to extend his support for the same.

Even as Siddharamaiah said this, the crowd went into laughter, even as MLA G.T. Devegowda and MP Pratap Simha reacted by only smiling. Later, continuing his speech, Siddharamaiah said the Dasara lighting arrangements were magnificent. Wishing the people of the State on Dasara, the CM said the Dasara festivities had earned worldwide attention for its grandeur and splendour.
