I will not contest again, but will be in active politics: Prasad

Mysuru – Nanjangud BJP candidate former Minister V. Sreenivasa Prasad, who was defeated by Kalale Keshavamurthy of the Congress, told reporters in Mysuru that though ‘Swabhimana’ has lost, it had gained the respect of the people. “People know who is a ‘Swabhimaani’ and I made them realise this,” he said.

“The defeat will not mean that I will retire from politics. I will be in active politics though I will not be contesting any election,” he said. “Everyone knows what CM Siddharamaiah and the advisor to Home Minister Kempaiah did during the last three days before voting on Apr. 9,” he remarked.

“Congress has distributed money to more than a lakh voters days before the elections and they misused the official machinery to ensure victory. This was evident when Chamarajanagar MP’s Personal Assistant and a Transport Officer were caught red-handed with wads of notes. Congress has created a Guinness Record in corruption,” Prasad added.
