Mysuru: The Orchids Public School and PU College had organised ‘Face Off,’ an Inter-School Debate Competition, in association with Mysore Sahodaya School Complex, recently. The debate competition saw success with 13 strong competitive teams.

Prof. K.C. Belliappa, former Vice-Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi Central University at Arunachal Pradesh, who was present on the occasion, beautifully explained in his speech that everything is an art in itself.

He gave instances of how Indians use English language and add to its vocabulary artistically.

Peush Kumar,an Industrialist, K.A. Shakantula, retired Principal and Srikanta Swamy, Principal Correspondent, New Indian Express, judged the participants.  

Deepaknarayan & P. Preeti of Manasarowar Pushkarini School, grabbed the 1st place and Shubham Kumar & Shrish S. Vaidhya of Netaji Public School, Hassan, bagged the second place.

Deepaknarayan of Manasarowar Pushkarini School  and Spoorthi S. Rao of Excel Public School were recognised and awarded as Best Debaters.
